The Photographs of Just_Rodney

This is my world where I see what is around me through my Camera.

As a photographer I have enjoyed this art form for many years, from a cub scout with an old brownie box. Through years to a 35mm SLR Pentax, and then many years later a Nikon, this also then included a darkroom, as I then developed and printed my own black and white photos.

Through many physical, as well as emotional moves, most of these alas were lost and or destroyed. What few remained disapeared in a series of robberies as well.

Approaching a photo shoot, is very much like cooking a meal or writing a hub. There is that period of analysis and sitting down with what you have available an what it is that you need to produce.

Some of these are made according to the individual brief from my clients and some from my general interest portfolio.

As each photo assignment deals with people, there is always an outside influence, these must not conflict with what is required.

You must always focus on the next step and keep the flow when making a still recording of an event.

I try to always use available light, and prefer the natural rather than contrived or posed look.

Sometimes you need to catch the intent, rather than the end result.

As what is often required is good illustrative photographs of food, either to illustrate a cookbook, or for display purposes with either a restaurant or a magazine.

This is an interesting aspect of photograhy, as you are now trying to make the food look as appetising as possible, and yet still natural.

It is both fun and challanging to do this succesfully, especiailly when wrking live without too many back drops and the other tricks of the trade, that we use in an equiped studio.

I will always be a sucker to take photos of animals and children in their natural playful state.

We sometimes need to be able to smile as well. In doing so we always need to have a sense of dignity, trying not to offend the sensitivity of others.

I don't stalk, or crawl around to take these.

These are common sites and I do not to mean to be offensive or rude but we should not be wearing outer as under or is it versa visa.

They do happen now as well as the in the past.

I have many gigabytes of images, and I can create many more, these remain in a digital form.

My outputs vary to the type of size and media as my customers request.

Outside Display Banners, these are on vinyl which has been UV protected and comes with corner eyelets and nylon ropes. the popular size is 1,1meter by 2,2 meter.

Photo Canvases these range from A4 to A1 my most popular sizes is A3.

Presentation type format on CD or DVD for playing on a PC or projection to large screen.

Individual cost structure would be dependent on the following.

• Traveling time
• Total time on shoot, set up and break down
• Time of producing the output 
• Material costs
• Sundry travel

I will always give you estimate and give a more definite quote depending on what is required and other details pertinent to the shoot.
